Lisa and Kelly have helped transform our family for the better.

Sometimes I have such information overload and I know each person in my family has their own too. And it feels like it always falls on the mum’s shoulders to handle and triage all aspects of everyone’s regulation and where they are at. And I don’t always know if I am doing the right thing or saying the right thing.

I thank Qi from the bottom of my heart, that you taught our family to check in with each other and share the load and communicate with each other and learn from each other. Improving our language and communication has been beneficial for our family as a unit. And hearing my child express his imagination or his thoughts makes my heart so happy.

I learned about different regulation strategies for my son, like activity levels, energy, when he's over excited how to calm him, or when he's very low, how to bring his levels up. We also worked on potty training, expanding his palate and interest in different foods, and a lot of different outings (swimming pool, ice rink) to expand his physical skills.

We’ve been with the team for so long that my son recognizes them. They are his friends, he’s happy when they come over, he has a big smile on his face! They were really good with communication, and I felt like if I had any questions I could text them anytime and they would connect with the school team if needed too.

I loved working with your team, it was very pleasing—I felt heard of and part of a family.

It's been a fantastic experience for me, especially to have knowledgeable people to help tackle crisis situations as they arise. To have additional people in my corner, because in the past I always felt like I'm fighting with service providers--it's nice to have them on my side and advocating as a family what we would like to see and have in our services.

It's great to have a fresh set of eyes, people that buy into my vision as opposed to consistently having to justify every inclusive practice you want to see happen.

You guys are amazing. The way it’s set up, everything, it’s just awesome. Qi Creative have been so helpful with everything. I can’t thank you guys enough, I really can’t.

Hossein S

Every single session was an absolute joy, to see their faces—to see them and be around them, they were amazing and they didn’t feel like coaches. They’re all in our minds as friends who helped us.

I know their names are ‘coaches’, but honestly, they were just friendly faces. They were friends, that came to our house and helped with an open mind. We couldn’t ask for more.

Wendy in particular, she was going the extra mile for providing services to us and we couldn’t be more grateful. My child was into piano, Wendy stayed after hours to play piano with her, and I could tell she felt closer to her. Stuff that we had been working on for hours or days, could be accomplished that much faster because of the friendship they had together.

Trent was an awesome Coach and we were very grateful to have completed the Triple P course with him. We learned so many valuable tools that we are implementing in our day to day routines.

Caryn D

They were always so positive, exciting, engaging and accepting. My child’s always excited for them to come over, sometimes it took all of his energy for the whole day! It didn’t look like work, but he was so engaged and getting so much out of it. It was a very positive experience.

Jenna S

I was really stressed out, I was trying everything in my books and nothing would work. Working with Meghan and Crystal, they gave me all different strategies and different techniques.

I have a better idea of the programs and opportunities for my child, what Qi Creative can offer for different programs, and in the community programs that understand him, understanding the funding process, and we’re more knowledgeable about him, different strategies on many things to help him, like sensory processing, or understanding autism better, what other children’s challenges are, the spectrum and how it all looks.

In 2 years we’ve learned so much, never mind just autism, it all has to do with the coaching and mentoring and therapists from Qi Creative, in many different aspects.

I found they were really accommodating with my schedule, so that was really good, and everybody was really responsive, Sam was great to talk to about any concerns I had.

Ginny C

They were very energetic! They gave a lot of good energy every time they came to visit, they brought a lot of different options, just a lot of good tools to implement every day. And they were quick, like if we came up with something, they had it ready to go for the next visit.

I know more about his condition, I know more about the necessity of parent involvement, in terms of services, I've learned about smaller goals, making them smaller so they can be more achievable, I've learned about new strategies and the sense of constant resourcefulness needed to improve.

I've learned that it takes a village. I've been really lucky because I feel we've had great successes with my child, it's had a lot to do with collaboration between many people and institutions—I've learned how valuable that is, also how hard it can be, because it's not so easy to get all these bodies to work together.

Wendy and MJ were able to pick up on things we wouldn’t, so we got a much better picture of what was going on. The way they tailored techniques specifically for my child, because we’re their parents—when you see someone every day, you sort of gloss over this or that, but other people might say those are things to address and a bigger deal than what we made them out to be—so that was the best thing, shedding light on what we weren’t noticing.

I know better how to advocate for him, and what tools work for him that he can grow with. I didn’t know where to start, when he gets older it might change, but I know what works for him now. I’ll start crying if I go into everything Kelly and Lisa have done for me, they’re incredible.

When my son was diagnosed at 2, I had to go through parenting services on my own first. Then I did more services elsewhere, and that’s when I started to hear about Qi. Your intake was so fast, too! I was seen in a matter of days rather than months.

Miranda L

I feel more confident, more knowledgeable. There’s always new goals, but stepping stones of what we’ve been working on before. So moving to the next level, new building blocks so he can do this and that thing on his own, and now he’s getting more blocks and more blocks and doing more things!

Overall I have a great team. I’m glad I can be casual with them, to shoot a phone call, email or text, and 9 times out of 10 they will respond.

Tara R

I have new skills to break steps down, for better understanding, my parenting style already flows with how Qi teaches things, but they gave me a lot of fresh ideas and approaches, and we could dive deeper into it. I feel like we’re on the right track. I don’t have any doubts anymore. I feel more confident.

They’re all just such genuine, caring people. For Trent, he’s the most patient, cool guy ever. He taught my daughter so much we just couldn’t seem to get from anywhere or anyone else. Emily and Wendy, she adores ALL of them, the relationship they’ve been able to build with her, it’s all been so strong. And she’ll probably remember that forever.

She’s just hitting milestones one after the other, so I’m super happy with where we are, and where we’re going to go.

Misha S

There were a lot of things I didn’t know because my son is the first child in my entire family history to be diagnosed with autism. It was a massive learning experience which was greatly helped by Qi.

My experiences were really pleasant, everyone was super helpful, I appreciate that my coaches would ask me something or ask me for my opinion instead of only working and talking to my son.

It was just how patient you all seem to be. From Sam who was the first person who came over, to Meghan and Crystal who were always very patient and very caring and aware of the fact that I am a single mom for most of my son’s life. Overall it was a great experience.

Jen M

I feel like I have more solid control over our day to day life, more resources, learning how to pay attention to my child and how it takes repetition and time to learn new things.

I’m more aware now. I can pick out things that my kids are doing, like how my son is regulating, rather than before, I would assume he’s shutting down or trying to act in a way to bother me. My coach was able to communicate with my child in ways that he understood.

I think you guys are fantastic, I was very impressed! You guys are like a whole toy box full of resources whereas some sources we’ve dealt with in our hometown were very singular. You guys are very dynamic and flexible.

Caroline S

I think what you guys are doing is amazing. Every day is an eye opener. I just knew my child had ADHD, ODD, tics and sensory challenges, but in the beginning I had no idea what ‘sensory’ even was. I feel relief, if you know what I mean. I have different tools now, so I can go in my toolbox, and if that doesn’t work I go on to a different tool and I can keep going to different tools.

David J

Their attitude and their dedication stood out to me, and they always made me feel like a #1 priority regardless of how many people and families that they support.

They were very flexible and accessible. I’ve been with you guys for 4 years and I sing your praises to anyone who listens.
