Welcome Coach Taylor, Occupational Therapist

Qi Creative is delighted to welcome Taylor Riffel, Occupational Therapist, to the Qi Creative Team!

About Taylor

With her sense of humour, compassion, and bubbly personality; Taylor is your number 1 hype-girl. Taylor is passionate about mental health and she loves helping families discover all that they are capable of!

Taylor graduated from University of Alberta with her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. Her past experience includes working with children, adolescents, and teens with developmental differences and mental health challenges.

Taylor is also a certified Yoga Instructor and is extremely passionate about holistic health (i.e., health of the mind, body, and soul). Her therapy sessions are filled with a dash of authenticity, lots of meaningful connection, and a handful of laughs and smiles.

When Taylor is not working, you can find her antiquing for vintage home decor, spending time with her family and friends, and snuggling with her rescue dog (Joey) from Mexico and her rescue black cat (Luna). She also loves to engage in group fitness classes and you can probably find her either boxing, cycling, or doing some yoga during her time off. Taylor loves to travel and one of her most favourite places that she has been is the Philippines.

Words From Taylor

It has been a month since I started at Qi Creative and so far it has been a wonderful experience! It has been such an honour to be part of a team that shares the same passion towards helping others to overcome challenges.

Qi Creative has been different from any other places that I’ve worked previously. There is a special energy in the air at Qi Creative. There is a sense of gentleness and grounding here rooted in the love for what we do. From the moment that I walked in the door, I have been greeted with complete kindness and support… and also doughnuts haha.

My biggest challenge this past month has been catching Covid a week after starting at Qi Creative. Unfortunately it meant lots of time working at home and completing virtual visits instead of in-person visits. During the time I was sick, my colleagues at Qi Creative were so understanding and supportive. Not only was everyone flexible with any changes but I also had messages from my colleagues just checking in to make sure that I was doing okay.

I am so excited to learn and grow with an agency that not only cares deeply about their clients, but that also really takes the time to care for their employees. It is truly a little Qi Creative family here and I am so grateful to be part of it.

WOOSH!
