Neurodivergence and Disability Affirming Tiktok Influencers

In today’s digital world often driven by perfection and performative pushes to buy the next big thing (hello, Labubu), it's refreshing and powerful to come across creators who show up with honesty, vulnerability, and a deep commitment to affirming neurodivergent and disabled people and their experiences.

On TikTok, a growing number of influencers are reshaping the conversation around disability, mental health, and neurodivergence—not just by educating, but by existing unapologetically as themselves. In this post, we’re highlighting seven TikTok creators whose content makes space for authenticity, challenges harmful norms, and reminds us that there is no one “right” way to be.

Please note that while we are highlighting people with a presence on TikTok, there are no specific endorsements, commissions or partnerships from ourselves or these creators. This is not a ‘top 7’ and the list below is not in any specific order.

Each influencer has an extensive collection of videos that due to the sheer volume of content, we cannot fully endorse; whether the influencer has lived experience or has professional credentials, always use your own discernment when using TikTok as a platform for information.

Courn Ahn (@candy.courn)

@candy.courn no, being unable to stand the shower, simply exist without frequent joint pain, and be able to contort all my joints…was in fact, not normal - turns out I had hypermobile ehler’s danlos syndrome ! 👋 and while I still struggle daily with hEDS, it’s atleast nice knowing I’m not alone! 💚 A disclaimer that this video should not be used for diagnostic purposes, but I do recommend visiting ehlers-danlos.com/heds/ if you relate and are looking more specific criteria and resources! 📚 #heds #hypermobileehlersdanlossyndrome #hypermobile #hypermobility #ehlersdanlossyndrome #ehlersdanlos #disabled #spd #autismtraits #autism #autisticadults #unmaskingautism #actuallyautistic #autismmemes #autismmeme ♬ beans - yawn.

Courn Ahn is a designer and illustrator. They are a multi-disciplinary designer with over 5 years experience in the creative industry, with a range of experience from contract gigs, to agency work, to running a dog bandana shop.

We like Courn’s content for their use of colour (both their incredible home and outfits are excellently curated), and easy to follow takes and explanations on various topics around neurodivergence and disability.

In the above video, Courn shares one of their videos explaining different conversations and slices of life that eventually informed them that they have hypermobile Ehlers–Danlos syndromes (EDS).

Toren and Serenity Wolf (@toren_wolf)

@toren_wolf I think trauma makes a big difference for all people- not just those with autism or ADHD. ❤️ What do you think?💜💜💜 #autism #adhd #trauma ♬ original sound - Toren_Wolf

Toren Wolf and his mom Serenity (aka Mama Wolf) are autism and ADHD advocates. Toren received a diagnosis of autism in preschool, and several years later a reassessment also revealed ADHD (a combination also known as AuDHD, which we also have a Qi Talks Podcast episode about).

Serenity was undiagnosed for the majority of her life until finally receiving both an ASD and ADHD diagnosis in her late 40s. Several videos such as this one showcase Serenity’s desire to have been diagnosed sooner, and how going undiagnosed impacted her experiences as a parent.

In addition to typical slice of life content such as trying new foods or going shoe shopping, Toren is open about his struggles with avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, or ARFID.

We also enjoy their content for how Toren and Serenity compare their neurodivergent experiences, Serenity in particular putting a spotlight on adult women like her who have gone misdiagnosed for decades, and the kinds of labels and criticisms she received growing up rather than the support and acceptance her son now has. The two share their stories with a notable level of candor.

Selah Dimech (@selahdimech)

Selah Dimech is an Occupational Therapist who works with neurodivergent adults. Being AuDHD herself, Selah not only shares insights through her Tiktok videos, but also sells adult-friendly visual aids through her Etsy store.

Selah provides a great point of view not only as an Occupational Therapist but also through her own unique neurodivergent lens, whether that means surviving public transport as a neurodivergent adult, or sharing food and feeding tips for all ages.

Kaelynn Partlow (@kaelynn_vp)

@kaelynn_vp Those small moments of control can reduce resistance. And if you want to dive deeper into enhancing autonomy AND cooperation, I break it down in my book Life on the Bridge. 📖🥰 #autistic #autismmom #autism #appliedbehavioranalysis #autisticadult #autismawareness #autismacceptance #therapist #teacher ♬ Everybody Wants To Rule The World X Electric Love - darcy stokes

Also seen on Netflix’s Love On The Spectrum, Kaelynn is an autistic advocate, speaker, therapist, and author of Life on the Bridge: linking my world to yours as an autistic therapist.

Kaelynn carries the paraprofessional certification Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in the United States, where she hopes to share her insights “from both sides of the table” aka having experience as both a child supported by a therapist, and now on the other side as an adult supporting new generations of youth.

In the above video, Kaelynn uses Dr. Seuss’s book, Green Eggs and Ham, as an example of how to provide choice in situations where many adults feel like they cannot give their kids a choice, like when putting on a seatbelt.

Placing an emphasis on recipes with “no stoves, no knives, no standing”, Carolyn also utilizes other disability friendly options such as slow cookers, pre-cut foods, and frozen foods to create amazing meals.

Some of Carolyn’s disability friendly recipes include: Cajun Crab Boil, Low-Carb Pasta, Jamaican Rice & Peas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Risotto, Po’Boys, Tiramisu Tarts, Lasagna, and more!

Christi Newrutzen (@christinewrutzen)

@christinewrutzen i dont know why this took me soooooooo long to do, but MAN do I feel so much better now, please don't judge me, this was hard 🥲 #procrastination #dentist #appointment #cleantok #organization #adhd #executivedysfunction #homeimprovement ♬ original sound - Christi Newrutzen

Christi is an ADHD content creator who earns a spot on this list for her Tiktok series How Long Does it Actually Take?

In this series, Christi embarks on various home projects to find out how long it takes to complete a task she has been procrastinating for months or years: cleaning a pantry, decluttering and organizing a garage, or scheduling a dentist appointment. The dentist appointment in particular, Christi has avoided for 3 years.

Her video series is not meant for judgement or shame, but rather two themes we picked up on: The first is to be open and honest about what executive dysfunction can look like at home, and the second—in the case where she assists, or is assisted by someone else to complete a task—this is called Body Doubling, a wonderful strategy many people of all ages use to complete tasks or stay focused on a task.

Lindsey Mackereth, MA, LPCC, LADC (@method_counseling_mpls)

Lindsey Mackereth, or Lindsey Mack, is a licensed therapist whose content generally covers neurodivergence challenges and concerns for adults—a much needed area! She has a particular focus on highly masked Autism, ADHD, and Giftedness.

This includes reaching out to:

  • Adults born in the 80s and 90s who may have been placed in a “Gifted” school program growing up—-who may only now be receiving ADHD or autism diagnoses as adults

  • Neurodivergent adults going through childbearing age to perimenopause and how this can lead bodies and nervous systems to new levels of dysregulation

  • ‘Highly masking adults’, aka adults who have always been neurodivergent, but were left undiagnosed and forced to adapt to neurotypical expectations growing up—and how they can begin to take steps to unmask themselves.

If you find Lindsey’s videos insightful or reflecting to your experiences, she continues the conversation through the various essays on her Substack account, which requires a paid subscription.
