Michael Schwake

Chief Technical Officer

Michael graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science majoring in both Mathematical Sciences and Physics and a Bachelor of Secondary Education. Michael is a behaviour coach with Triple P Levels 4 & 5 and a SIVA trainer. He also has a strong passion for technology, which he uses for developing creative learning strategies and implementing adaptive technologies. Growing up with multiple learning disabilities, Michael was no stranger to incorporating specialized learning strategies into his own learning and development. Being diagnosed early allowed him to achieve his best due to the love and care of family and collaborative specialists.

Michael is passionate about disability advocacy and making sure everyone is given a fair opportunity to reach their dreams and passions too. He was fortunate to be involved in the University of Washington’s DO-IT Program, which promotes the success of individuals with disabilities in post-secondary education and careers, using technology as an empowering tool. He also has many other passions, like singing (classically trained in opera), dance, videography, art, sports, board games, and really, far too many to mention. A self proclaimed involvement nut, he loves opportunities to give back to the larger community and bring people together.

Michael feels very fortunate to be part of the Qi Creative family, as it brings a mix of his passions and talents forward; drawing from all of them in the best possible way.

Don’t block your time, it’s your inspiration.
